Large Intestine 4

This is kind of acupuncture’s “paracetamol” point - especially when used with Liver 3. It is a great acupuncture point for pain relief as well as generally regulating the body. It is often helpful in cases of headaches and pain in the face. One of my teachers called this point “the great reliever” which really sums up this acupuncture point (especially since this point can relieve constipation) :).
The point is found in the hand, between the thumb and forefinger, and can have a feeling of numbing the hand when you contact it well.
The point is contra-indicated in pregnancy, but is said to be helpful during labour.
